The 2025 People’s Choice voting has now concluded. The winner of the 2025 People’s Choice Award is Friends of the Swamp Tortoise.
Friends of the Western Swamp Tortoise has been recognised for its significant role in supporting the recovery of Australia’s most endangered reptile, the Western Swamp Tortoise. The group works with schools, community organisations, and local businesses to promote awareness, raise funds, and actively participate in conservation programs such as habitat restoration and the release of captive-bred tortoises.

The Kiwanis Charity Bookshop is open Friday and Saturday from 10am – 1.30pm and can be found inside Roxy Lane Theatre at 55 Ninth Avenue, Maylands. The bookshop will be closed during public holidays, and some theatre performances. Go to the Bookshop page for our and volunteer opportunities.
