The Kiwanis Club of Perth is dedicated to raising funds for organisations and services that support children’s literacy. We run two literacy awards programs in local primary schools and can partner special projects and events, including providing volunteers. Contact us if we can help you.

Fundraising for Donations and Bursaries
We’re very grateful for the many private donations and purchases that enable us to provide up to $250 directly to schools or organisations that improve children’s literacy.
Redcliffe Primary School – $250 bursary for school supplies for struggling families.

Our School Awards Programs
Kiwanis International developed to literacy programs for primary school children called Bring Up Grades and Terrific Kids. Through the Kiwanis Club of Perth a combined total of 36 certificates were funded and presented to children from Noranda Primary School and Redcliffe Primary School in 2025.
Bring Up Grades (BUG) Awards
The Bring Up Grades program recognises students who raise their grades or maintain good grades for one term. Students are nominated by school teaching staff and receive a certificate, a set of coloured pencils and a BUG sticker from a Kiwanis Club of Perth representative.
Certificates are provided by the Kiwanis Club of Perth.
Terrific Kids Awards
Two children are selected to receive a certificate from each class, each term.
These children receive their certificate at a lunch with the Principal.
