July Open Day Success

Roxy Lane Theatre and the Kiwanis Charity Bookshop held a successful community Open Day on Satuday 5 July 2025 in Maylands. Visitors were treated to behind the scenes tours of the theatre, they learned about the charity work of Kiwanis in the bookshop, and enjoyed a tasty sausage sizzle too.

The theatre group has been a big supporter of the Kiwanis Club of Perth, allowing us to host the pop-up bookshop and run meetings within the theatre space.

Club President, Kaye Winfield, had this to say about the day, “We had a fantastic open day! Most of the games sold, and books received last week were literally walking out the door. A big thank you to all those who supported us today from us and the kids who will benefit from your generosity. The kids love you all. Kristen and the crew from Roxy Lane Theatre also need a huge thank you for having the open day and making the day so much fun.”

Kiwanis Charity Bookshop is open Saturdays from 10 am to 1.30pm selling books, games and magazines from ee, 50c to $3. Find us at 55 Ninth Ave, Maylands inside Roxy Theatre.
