The Kiwanis Club of Perth was proud to visit Noranda Primary School this April to present their Term 1 literacy awards. The club sponsors awards in two categories: Bring Up Grades (BUG) and Terrific Kids.
The BUG program recognises students who raise their grades or maintain good grades for one term. Amri was the overall winner and received a $25 book voucher from Dymocks.
The “Terrific” in “Terrific Kids awards” is an acronym for Thoughtful, Enthusiastic, Respectful, Responsible, Inclusive, Friendly, Inquisitive and Capable. Hanna was recognised as this term’s winner and also received a $25 book Dymocks book voucher. Several other students received Terrific Kids certificates.
The Kiwanis Club of Perth and Noranda Primary School have been running the literacy programs in partnership for several years, with certificates and prizes provided by the club.
