Wheatbelt NRM is a passionate not-for-profit organisation dedicated to transforming how we manage our natural resources in the Wheatbelt region. We believe in the power of community, innovation, and partnerships, inviting everyone to join us in protecting this unique part of Western Australia. Through our Forage for Nature initiative, we collaborate with Avon River Basin farmers to develop biodiverse forage systems that not only increase productivity but also improve the health of our soils and ecosystems.
Our dedication to protecting wildlife is evident in our efforts to conserve Carnaby’s Black-Cockatoo habitats and the critically endangered Eucalypt Woodlands. By collaborating directly with landholders, we carry out essential activities such as revegetation and habitat restoration, helping these beautiful species flourish in their natural environments.
We also tackle the challenges caused by invasive species through our Red Card for Rabbits and Foxes programme, uniting the community in predator control to safeguard our native wildlife.
Finally, we lead in carbon farming and natural capital opportunities, supporting the Wheatbelt region in achieving its environmental and sustainability goals for a brighter future.
"Striving to improve the lives of Western Australian children."
