We’ve had a fantastic three months since I became President in October, and I’m proud to share some highlights.
We awarded Kiwanis Terrific Kids certificates to students at Noranda Primary School and approved a bursary of $250 for struggling families at Redcliffe Primary School in 2025.
We celebrated International Thank A Volunteer Day by partnering with Ellis House Art Centre – Art Gallery, and being awarded a $1000 grant from the Department of Communities. We provided the certificates, signed by the Hon Don Punch MLA, Minister for Volunteering, for 75 volunteers from 12 community groups.
We volunteered at the Child and Parent Centre Swan’s Christmas party for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and had a great time wrapping many gifts.
We recognised five long-term Members for a collective 145 years of service to Kiwanis at our formal Change Over Meeting. The food at Italians Restaurant was delicious and the evening was enjoyed by Members, Friends and guests.
We also welcomed a new Secretary with excellent skills to ensure good governance.
Our Kiwanis Charity Bookshop volunteers worked Christmas hours, opened an Instagram account, and ran stalls at both the Inglewood Upmarket and the City of Bayswater‘s ‘Carols by the River’ events.
I’m looking forward to our planning meeting in January, and new partnerships and projects in 2025.
A big thank you to all of our supporters, donors, partners, and of course the Members and Friends of Kiwanis that have made all of this possible.
I wish everyone a very happy and safe holiday period, with lots of love, laughter and fun with family and friends.

Proud Highlights for 2024
A Message from our Club President
We’ve had a fantastic three months since I became President in October, and I’m proud to share some highlights.
We awarded Kiwanis Terrific Kids certificates to students at Noranda Primary School and approved a bursary of $250 for struggling families at Redcliffe Primary School in 2025.

We volunteered at the Child and Parent Centre Swan’s Christmas party for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and had a great time wrapping many gifts.
In keeping with the Christmas spirit, we also donated $100 to Care Bags – because children in care matter. The funds purchased Christmas stockings delivered by Santa.
